About Me

Growing up in a single-parent home, I wasn't that girl—the one who couldn't wait to fall in love and get married. I wasn't the girl looking out for Prince Charming and his white horse. I had too many plans for my future. Besides, it wasn't like I planned to get married. Just because some people got a happily ever after didn't mean I would.

My anti-marriage stance was legendary among my high school friends. In fact, they voted me ‘Most Likely To Be The Cat Lady.' They were absolutely convinced that I'd die old and alone. Well, I just had to prove them wrong. And of course, I did.

I married young. At the time, everyone thought I was crazy for settling down at nineteen. They whispered about the possibility of a bun in my oven when I announced my engagement. And they ogled my stomach as I strolled down the aisle in a snow white dress and horribly uncomfortable shoes. But I didn't mind. I knew they were all wrong. I was getting married because I'd found my soul mate, and I was ready start my life with him.

A couple of years later, I decided it was time to prove people wrong again. So what did I do? I got pregnant. While all my friends were graduating college, I was reading baby books and decorating a nursery. Then I was giving birth to a beautiful baby girl. And at the hospital, all of my friends came to see me. They made jokes about cat ladies, and they "oohed" and "aahed" over my newest edition. But like my wedding, I didn't mind what they said. I'd found my happily ever after with my wonderful husband and my sweet baby.

Since my daughter's birth, I have been deliriously happy. I found a charming house by a creek, only miles from the Great Smoky Mountain National Park to live in. And I followed my dreams and became a published author of books that would make the people in my life blush and stammer. Of course, as irony would have it, I wound up with a cat after all.

When not writing, I'm amazingly easy to find. I'll be cuddled up on the couch reading an erotic romance novel by one of my favorite authors, driving around in my car singing at the top of my lungs, or hanging out in the kitchen baking goodies galore.
